I have been provided with a Nutrisystem plan in exchange for sharing my honest experience and results on my blog.
This week’s Nutrisystem victory was a non-scale victory or NSV. We use a cloud photo storage program, and it recently updated to add some new features. I was checking it out because it now groups photos by date taken, by who or what is in the photo, where it was taken, etc. I noticed that it had photos of me divided into two groups, and Ryan into two groups as well. When I looked at mine, I could tell what caused the program to think I was two different people. One category was me with glasses, and the other was all the photos of me without glasses. I assumed Ryan’s was the same, until I noticed that both sections had photos of him with and without his glasses on. My next guess aws his beard. He keeps a full beard 99% off the time, but sometimes he keeps it very short and sometimes it gets much longer. However, both categories also showed photos of him with a big beard and with a small beard. I was stumped. Then I realized one category was almost all new photos of him, mostly from 2016. Then it also included photos that were quite old – ones from around 2008 or before. Then it hit me – it was his weight! One category was while he was heavier, and the other was late 2015 and 2016, and before 2009 or so which are both time periods when he was thinner.
It was really neat to see that his weight loss is so significant that even facial detection software picks him up as a different person. It’s pretty good software, too. It was able to detect my dad as being the same person in photos that are more than 30 years apart! In old photos my dad was around 40, and he’s now 71 and the software put both photos of him in the same group. So in a sense, Ryan has had a more significant visual change as a result of his weight loss than my dad has had from aging 30 years!
Top two are from 2007 or 2008. Bottom two are from 2016. They were all in the same category matching Ryan’s face.

Dare we say it (aw come on!) he’s hunk! Bless his heart. You guys are adorable. My husband (not me alas) lost 15 pounds in the last few months with diet and exercise. His face does indeed look different.

He looks amazing- and I bet it is almost like having a ‘new’ husband’. His energy is likely much different and I bet you are both more active. You make a lovely couple! It is so neat what tech can do now for sure.
