Tune into NBC tonight at 10 Eastern to catch Timeless, a new action-adventure series. The storyline is about a criminal who steals a secret state-of-the-art time machine. The criminal wants the time machine because his goal is to destroy America as it is now, by changing events of the past. The team assigned with preventing this from happening includes a scientist, a solider and a history professor. The trio will use a prototype of the machine to travel back in time to critical events in our history. While spending time in the past, it’s crucial that they avoid doing anything that will alter the future. However, they also have to stay one step ahead of the person who stole the time machine. Together, they have to find a way to reveal the mystery behind why this criminal is trying to destroy America, and figure out how to stop him in time.
The main cast includes Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Goran Visnjic, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey and Claudia Doumit.

I’m not usually interested in the action genre. I’m eager to see Timeless, though. I love history, dramatic TV shows and time travel. I also like how even in the previews the show delves into really difficult aspects of our past, with the african american character. I am eager to see what other parts of our history come up in the show and how they are addressed. I like that it doesn’t seem like they will be shying away from the tough stuff. In my opinion, wrestling with the dark parts of our past is much more interesting than focusing on just the positive pieces. I am going to see about convincing Ryan to watch it with me. He loves adventure based shows so I think this one will interest us both for different reasons.
Will you be watching Timeless tonight at 10/9c?

This sounds very interesting! I am always interested in a more unique tv show, and this fits the bill. Clever idea, using a time machine too!

No TV and no interest in watching this. I’ll tell my brother about it. He’d like it.

I don’t typically like to read time travel books but shows are ok. I’m wondering if my son might be interested in this plot line. I will have to let him know when it’s on.

I have never even heard of this show. We should watch it. Can a 7 year-old understand it do you think? Alycia loves Sci-Fi stuff.
