Thank you to Nutrisystem for providing me with product in exchange for this honest blog review. All opinions are 100% my own.
This week I want to talk more about non-scale victories. We place way too much importance on the numbers the scale shows. We need to pay more attention to how we feel.
Last time I was on Nutrisystem, I lost pounds faster than I lost inches. This time it is the opposite. I have been having a hard time with my scale numbers not changing as fast and my measurements. I had a little heart to heart conversation with myself this morning and put things into perspective. I am “only” twenty-five pounds lighter than my heaviest weight; however, I am almost 6 pant sizes smaller. I would much rather be smaller than lighter. Being six sizes smaller than I was at my heaviest, is one of my non-scale victories.
My progress this week-
Weight- no change
Arms- no change
Waist- I lost 2 inches
Hips- I lost 1 inch
Thighs- no change
Calves- no change
Total- 4 inches lost
Grand total- Somehow my grand total had been miscalculated. I have officially lost 26 inches and 9 pounds. My biggest loss has been in my waist. I have lost a total of 6 inches off my waist alone!
What are your non-scale victories? Are our clothes fitting better? Do we have more energy? Are we sleeping better? Are you able to focus better? Do you have fewer aches and pains? Have we been able to stop taking a prescribed medication? Are you making healthier decisions without really thinking about it? How about having fewer sick days? All of those are much better measures of how successful we have been on our new healthier lifestyles.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

Yeah for your victory. The scale is just a number that can vary with salt content. You have so much to be proud of. Continue to celebrate your victory.
I always tell people its not what the scale says but how your body feels and how your clothing fits!! Weight is not the eveything!! Sounds like you are still losing inches and kickin butt so way to go!
