The folks at Solvit have some amazing products for dogs. They have products for around the home, items to make traveling easier, as well as therapy tools. I was asked to review the Sofa Full-Coverage Furniture Protector.
The Sofa Full-Coverage Furniture Protector is a great fit for our home for two reasons. The first reason is obvious, we wanted to protect our leather furniture from dog wear and tear. We have two dogs. Our largest dog, a great dane/mastiff loves to get up on the furniture. Her nails have started to scratch our leather furniture.
The second reason I wanted a good furniture cover, is temperature control. Our leather furniture is either hot or cold…there is no in-between temperature. My husband absolutely loves them but I freeze when I sit on them. Or, if it’s summer, I feel like I sliding off the furniture because the leather makes me perspire. I wanted some type of cloth cover to form a barrier between me and the leather. My husband was fine with it as long as the cover didn’t have flowers and, if it could look somewhat like the furniture, that was an added bonus.
I was not disappointed when I received the Solvit Sofa Full-Coverage Furniture Protector. Our furniture is a cognac red/brown color and the Solvit Sofa Full-Coverage Furniture Protector is Cocoa colored; it is a close match. Because of the way the protectors fit our furniture, we/guests can see our furniture as well as the protector.
The Solvit Sofa Full-Coverage Furniture Protector is made with plush, quilted material. It has a waterproof membrane built in for accident protection. These protectors are very comfortable to sit on,
It didn’t take long to get the Solvit Sofa Full-Coverage Furniture Protectors properly situated onto our furniture. The protectors come with multiple straps to help you get a secure and custom fit for your sofa.
We have had some very cold weather lately so I would normally be folding a blanket to sit on but now, with the Solvit Full-Coverage Furniture Protectors, that’s no longer necessary. I can hardly wait to see what they’re like during our warmer summer weather.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. I have a seat cover made by them for the car that is the best thing ever. If we ever sell that car it won’t be destroyed by the dogs.

That is a great solution for my niece. She has a Golden Retriever that think she is still a baby. He is trashing her sofa.

WooHoo thats a big pup! Our dog Odin also gets on the furniture. I dont like that he does it, and have blankets for him laid down, he is getting old, so I understand why he does it. I think a covering like this would be nice. We dont have leather but goodness, I bet that cuts down on nail marks.

This is what my brother needs for his leather furniture BUT not from a dog a BIG BIRD who loves to sit on the couch with him

If you have pets this cover would be wonderful. We can all say our pets do not get on the furniture but we know the minute we walk out door they are up and stretched out for a nap. The nice thing is you have company you turn it over
This looks like a great solution and your doggie is so cute! We don’t have any pets currently but I would definitely buy this if we did.
