Did you know that tomorrow, February 28th, is National Pancake Day? With it being a school day, we likely won’t have time to make pancakes before school. To make sure we are still able to celebrate National Pancake Day, we decided to make Krusteaz pancakes ahead of time and freeze them. Frozen Krusteaz pancakes are perfect for popping into the toaster, heating and eating on the run. Now we will be able to enjoy our pancakes and still make it to the bus stop in time to catch the bus.

Almost every Sunday, my husband and two daughters make pancakes. I love sitting back, sipping on my coffee, watching them interact in the kitchen. They have so much fun. It is their special tradition.
Last Sunday, we put a creative spin on our pancake day. We used our new T-fal Initiatives Non-Stick Fry Pan and Krusteaz pancake mixes. The girls wanted sweet pancakes so they use the Krusteaz Blueberry mix and then topped their pancakes with a homemade strawberry sauce. My husband wanted pancakes that were more savory. He baked bacon, let it cool and then chopped it into small pieces. He added the bacon pieces into the Buttermilk pancake mix.

Our 12.5 inch T-fal Initiatives Non-Stick Fry Pan was perfect for cooking our pancakes. T-fal’s fry pan has a Thermo-Spot that indicates when the pan is ready for use. The non-stick surface allowed us to cook without needing to add oil. Whether we had one or three pancakes cooking in the fry pan, the heat was distributed evenly and all pancakes cooked beautifully.
When we sat down for breakfast, their were smiles all around the table. It was the perfect way to start our day!

How do you like your pancakes? Sweet or savory? Plain or topped? Thin or fluffy?
To help you celebrate National Pancake Day, T-fal is offering cookware discounts at Target and Amazon.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

TFal makes great pans.Their non sticks stays non stick if properly cared for. I am a fan of plain pancakes, although the savory with bacon is something hubby could get behind. It is nice your hubby and the kids have a pancake day- its making not just food but memories.

This sounds like a great frying pan! I love the thermo-spot, that is such a brilliant idea! I am definitely in need of some new pans, thank you so much for your review! 🙂 Your pancakes look delicious, I love Krusteaz products!
