IKIKI Shoes review

Thank you to IKIKI for providing me with product in exchange for review purposes. All opinions belong to myself.

In my experience kids either love shoes or hate them. My oldest loves them and wears shoes most of the time. My youngest enjoys putting her shoes on and taking them off, not necessarily wearing them regularly. I’m sure you’ve seen the shoes that light up when you take steps, which are all around pretty neat. The problem I’ve found with most light up things for children is they are often times in bed before its dark enough to really reap the awesome light up benefits of those shoes. IKIKI found a solution to helping children walk heel to toe as well as keep shoes on by creating shoes that make noise when you walk!

IKIKI Shoes review

IKIKI shoes have a small squeaker in the heel of each sole of the shoes. So with every step your little one gets a little squeak! Now outside of watching your child enjoy their squeaky little steps there the though of quiet places needing to stay quiet. As you can see below these shoes have a small but super easy to maneuver off switch on both shoes.

Pictured below is the squeaker in the off position, a red bit is visible to let you know that they are off. No Squeak and silence when needed.

Here is the squeaker switch in the on position. With this you hear a small squeak (identical to a puppy toy) with every step your little one takes. Now out in public we get a lot of smiles and giggles about these shoes. Some people have commented about how that noise might get irritating but honestly it really doesn’t it becomes a background noise in the same way that your child’s little stomping feet hitting a floor surface becomes background noise. More often than anything else we get questions about where to get them so that parents and grandparents can get them for their own children and grandchildren.

I talked a small bit about your child being encouraged in a fun way to correct step heel toe with these shoes but theres another huge benefit to IKIKI shoes. How many times have you taken your little one shopping with you, you bend over to grab something and when you stand back up your little one is not within immediate eyesight? Knowing where your child is because you can hear where they are, is just another tool to help keep track of them in crowded places. I believe with little ones just beginning to walk that don’t quite understand the boundaries of staying close these squeaky shoes are especially helpful. By no means should you assume that only really little children enjoy these IKIKI shoes. My five year old loves to make beats while walking which also helps develop mind body coordination!
