Most of the time, I don’t mind being 5’1″. Of course, I’ve never been taller so being short feels normal to me. There are some downsides, though. One of them being using a top-loading washing machine is more difficult. If small items such as socks, underwear or a wash cloth get left at the bottom of the washing machine I can’t reach it while standing on the floor. I should get a step stool, but for the sake of saving time I usually just hoist my hips up onto the edge and dive down in. I’m sure it looks pretty silly!
My next washing machine will be a front-loading machine. I’d love the LG 4.5 Cu. Ft 12-cycle front-loading washer which is currently on sale at Best Buy. Front loading washers are more convenient for shorter people like myself who just want to empty the machine. However, having a front-loading machine would also make cleaning it much easier because it’s so much easier to access the entire tub. Plus, front loaders typically use less water and consume less electricity. This can help with your electric bill while being more eco-friendly. Additionally, it can spin faster leaving your clothes dryer at the end of the cycle, which can reduce drying time.

This LG washer/dryer set looks phenomenal! I have never had a super nice set before, and definitely never had a front loading washer before. I am short like you so I can definitely see why this would be a lifesaver! Thank you so much for sharing the deal! 🙂

I have had super great experiences with Best Buy and appliances. Over the years I think we have bught every appliance there. I like these new washers and I like the little sidekick option. I would have to get used to it. As pretty as these are I would want them out of the basement and someplace where I could admire them ha!

I have the front loading machines. I do not have the little sidekick option. There are only two of us so we really don’t need it but I am sure it is good for families with children.

We just bought a new washer last year. My Mom lives with us and does most of the laundry and absolutely refuses to try a front loader. Oh well, she does my laundry so we bought her a top loader.
