Thank you to Educational Insights for providing me with products in exchange for this honest blog review. All opinions are 100% my own.

Statistics are showing just how few women go into STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields. The numbers are alarming. Many people, myself included, feel that we need to do more to encourage young girls to explore these careers. One way we can do that is through “play”. Educational Insights has a playful line called Nancy B’s Science Club. Nancy B’s Science Club has products that teach about astronomy, hydroponics, insects, germs, chemistry, wildlife and so much more. Nancy B’s Science Club products teach through hands on activities. Each product comes with a journal full of lessons and fun activities.

For our review, my two young daughters received an Educational Insights Nancy B’s Science Club MoonScope & Sky Gazer’s Activity Journal. The MoonScope & Sky Gazer’s kit comes with a telescope, multiple eye pieces, and journal.

My ten-year-old daughter, Savannah, wants to share her thoughts about Nancy B’s Science Club MoonScope & Sky Gazer’s Activity Journal. “Observing the stars, trees, clouds, and most of all, the moon, is so much fun! I love learning and exploring the galaxy with Nancy B’s MoonScope. The LED light on the telescope is hand for the night. The adjustable head is great for enjoying the moon at different angles. Pack up the MoonsScope for easy storage or a trip, because it’s a vacation necessity! Also looking at the shining stars just “brightens” your world. One of my favorite this to do is compare the little dipper to the big dipper. It is a nice way to end the day.”

We have had a lot of fun exploring our night sky with our MoonScope. The MoonScope is perfect for girls ages eight through twelve. True to Educational Insights style, it is well made and easy to use. We plan on taking it with us next weekend when we go camping!

I agree that there are not enough females in those jobs. I was a computer programmer in the early 90’s and I was the only female in that department for a long time. I am glad they are promoting the learning now.

This looks so much fun! My daughter wants to go into the science field – not sure doing what yet. But she has time – only 8th grade.
