GoalZero nomad 7 plus solar panel

I was sent a GoalZero solar panel for holiday gift guide inclusion. All opinions are my own.

We are all so used to having technology on us all the time. With tablets and phones on us at all times, we don’t think about keeping track of a physical map, or a phone book. Getting stranded with a phone without any battery life left, would be pretty tough for most of us!

GoalZero Solar Panels are an eco-friendly way to keep your items charged. Simply leave the solar panels in the sun, and then charge any USB device! The GoalZero Nomad 7 Plus panel is weatherproof so you can charge it even if it’s raining or snowing! It has an LED indicator that lets you know how strong your solar connection is, so you can move the panel to get better lighting if it’s not strong. It includes a detachable kickstand, so you can angle the panel to get the most of your light.

I love the idea of using this instead of a traditional power bank, just to save energy. However, it would also make an awesome gift for people who like to hunt, fish, camp or hike. There is no need to have a power outlet in order to keep your phone charged while camping, hiking or otherwise going without electricity!

These days, many camping gear items come with USB cables for charging. For example, camping stoves, lighters, lamps and lights, electric blankets, fans and more. Camping is really fun, I think reconnecting with nature is great. Still, the idea of being outside without a quick way to connect with the outside world in case of emergency is scary. I love the peace of mind that comes with knowing we can keep our phones charged just in case! I also like the idea of keeping a GoalZero solar panel in the trunk or glovebox, so that if we were to break down we could charge a phone if needed. There are so many possible ways that the GoalZero could come in handy because it can be used anywhere there is sunlight.

Who in your life could use a solar panel?

This is pretty cool. Especially for those times where you’re outdoors and far away from outlets.

This would definitely come in handy to have! That’s my fear is I’ll have an emergency but have no way to charge my phone.

This is such a great idea. We just had snow last night and lost power. This would be good if we had not gotten it back in a few hours. I will show my husband.

Thank you. My nephew has been asking for a solar charger for his phone, and now I know what it looks like. He works outside and walks past his vehicle all the time and wants to be able to charge his phone on one of these. Now I want one, looks nice and easier to charge phone without using electricity.

What a cool thing. It would appeal i think to my tech-minded, but thoroughly green daughter.

This has been on my wishlist for a little while now. I have been wanting one of these for when we go camping and for emergencies. I hadn’t thought of keeping it in the glovebox, but that’s a great idea.

This is such a great idea! I’m not sure I would put it out in the snow but it would be a fun gift.

This would be an excellent gift for nearly anyone. Even if you dont use a cellphone, you might have an ereader or an IPod or some device. I could see this being a good thing in case of emergencies when there is no power. A good gift any time of the year.
