Shark APEX DuoClean Review

Thank you to Shark for providing me with product in exchange for review. All opinions are my own.

For the past few years my household carpets have been maintained using an older Kirby vacuum that I inherited from a great uncle. While I do love the sturdiness of this machine, switching to the attachments was quite the hassle. With a carpet living room and stair way and a wood floor kitchen attachment switching was necessary quite often. No longer is attachment exchange a hassle with our new Shark APEX DuoClean Powered Lift-away Vacuum.

So many of the attachments are directly attached to the vacuum itself, so no worries about too much extra storage space or running back and forth.

There are a few qualities that really interested in me with this vacuum. The first quality that interested me was a deep cleaning motorized pet tool as we now have a large breed short haired dog that adores our couches. While our fur friend’s hair is grey like our couches, shedding days still prove to add quite a bit of color onto our couches. The second quality I loved about the Shark APEX is that I can lift away the canister to be a bit more mobile for the stairway cleaning. The crevice tool is also incredibly easy to attach and extend if needed which keeps deep cleaning easy and frequent.

The ease of sliding a small switch to interchange between hard floors, rugs, and long trimmed carpet is probably my most favorite quality. When we had been using the Kirby it took half a disassembly to attach the hard wood floor cleaning tool. Honestly after the first few times of going through this routine I decided I’d rather just use a broom for our kitchen. Now with the Shark APEX I no longer need to do anything but hit a switch that slows the double rollers to the perfect speed to pick up floor debris and not just fling and scatter them across the floor.

My husband and I just recently got into a mood and decided to go through our basement for the first time since moving in and remove every cob web with our Shark APEX DuoClean. Now given that it was our first time doing a cob web sweep there we had tons of webs to collect but we lacked a struggle to reach, and get to any of them. Keeping the canister detached and mobile helped greatly for behind the washer and dryer as well as reaching up and around the heating ducts.

Being pregnant I’m often burdened with the urge to deep clean parts of my house.  Our stair case needs that deep clean often and these attachments work so well! I no longer struggle with the stair case and the kitchen floors now that I use the Shark APEX DuoClean and I am so incredibly grateful.

The vacuum is a cinch to empty, clean and maintain and I am alway impressed by just how much this vacuum picks up despite my floors not really looking too dirty.
