Thank you to Robert Rose books for sending Best of Bridge Sunday Suppers for review in exchange for my honest opinion.

I have always enjoyed baking and cooking. I may not be great at it – but it’s still fun. It’s something that my grandma always loved to do. I have a large binder with all of her recipes in it. I don’t know I’ve ever made one of her recipes that I have not liked. Her recipes are old, tried and true. However, sometimes it is fun to make something new and different. I was excited to partner with Robert Rose to try out their Best of Bridge Sunday Suppers recipe book.

Best of Bridge Sunday Suppers features 200 recipes. There is a large variety from recipes from extravagant and some deliciously simple. It includes recipes for salads, soups, roasts, main dishes, grilled foods, stews, braises, casseroles, savory pies, pizzas, pastas, sides, homemade breads, sauces, condiments and desserts.
When looking through the recipes I came up with lots that I want to try. I added some tabs so I can easily find them in the future. I made the Quick Tortilla Pizzas the other day for lunch for my daughter and I. Just like the recipe says, they come together in no time and taste great!

I also tried the Browned Butter Blondies earlier this week for Valentine’s Day.  They got a little too done on me. Since I had a dark pan I should have adjusted the bake time down some or checked on it before the buzzer beeped! Ha! I’m human. They still tasted great warm, and re-warmed with ice cream. I wish there were photos of more of the recipes. I’m a sucker for seeing the picture of the recipe then wanting to make that recipe. And along that line, I would really like to see the the photos of the recipes right next to the actual recipes. The way it is, they are clustered together and randomly dispersed throughout the book. Even with that critique, I would recommend this recipe book for anyone who is looking to add some new recipes to their cooking arsenal.

This looks so good. I love that it is wire bound so it will lie flat. I love old recipes.

I am a big fan of cookbooks! There is just something about having the actual book to cook/bake with. The name of this one sounds delicious and makes me think comfort food! Thanks for sharing, I will definitely have to pick this one up. 🙂

I like that this book has the ability to open up flat. Makes doing a recipe much easier.

Now this looks like a nice cookbook. I know so many use the internet , but really nothing beats having a cookbook in front of you and taking the time you need. I like this one, it lays flat, and for me, that is a huge plus. Cooking can be fun, and if you find a recipe everyone loves, maybe one day it will be in someone else’s binder because they liked it so much!

It looks like this cookbook has a lot of great recipes and the kind I would love to make. Your Quick Tortilla Pizza and Brown Buttered Blondies look amazing. My grandchildren would love the tortilla pizza and I’m sure they would make over and over again. What a great cookbook.

I would love to try the recipes in this book. The Browned Butter Blondies sounds good, and would be something I would try first

That cover photo alone would make me buy this book! I love that it is a spiral bound book, which would make it a lot easier to keep open in the kitchen and read for me. I also agree about needing more pictures to see how things are supposed to look and I am also a visual learner. I wish you were doing a giveaway of this book seriously or maybe I am just hungry lol.

I love cookbooks like some people love novels. I want to try some of them. Thank you for the review.
