This Halloween, I am going to handout non-edible goodies to the trick-or-treaters. Kids get enough sugar in their daily lives. We don’t need to load them up on more. Plus many families are challenged with food allergies. This way I don’t have to worry about giving someone something they can’t have and no one feels left out.
If you in the same situation and need ideas, I compiled a list of over 60 non-edible Halloween goodies for Trick-Or-Treaters.

Remember to place a turquoise colored pumpkin outside by your door if you offer allergy-free goodies. Families that face food allergy challenges will recognize this symbol letting them know it’s safe for their kids to visit your home.
Many of the items on my list can be purchased at your local dollar store or online. Some of them can even be homemade or semi-homemade like the slime, putty, tic tac toe game, and bingo game.
If I missed something, please leave me a note in the comments and I will get it added to the list.
Happy Halloween!
Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

I know kids like to receive candy, but when my kids were young, they were always thrilled to receive a non-edible treat when trick or treating. So many great ideas…and with a dollar store in town, easy to find items.

These are all great ideas. I know my kids loved getting stickers and I do give them out on Halloween also.

I think stickers are the best. Inexpensive and fun.

These are such great ideas. Thanks for reminding me about the purple pumpkins.

Lots of great ideas. If you started buying these things on sale, and just kept them for Halloween it would be a nice way to give an option. I think a lot of the smaller toys you could buy in bulk and then hand them out. So many kids have allergies and such.

There are so many great ideas on this list. Thanks for posting!
