Leobog k81 pink bunny keyboard

LEOBOG sent me a mechanical keyboard for review. All opinions are my own.

I first learned of mechanical keyboards a few years ago, through my boyfriend. He’s much more into the gaming and tech side of things than I am. When he got his first mechanical keyboard, I found the sounds it made so satisfying. I also typed on it and felt like the physical feeling of the keys was more satisfying than my typical keyboard.

Since then, I’ve tried mechanical keyboards for myself. However, I have a small desk these days, as my apartment is really small. My old mechanical keyboard had a full sized number pad and was pretty wide. This meant I couldn’t use the keyboard and my mouse/mousepad alongside each other on the keyboard tray, as they were too wide to all fit. I wanted a smaller (narrower) mechanical keyboard so that everything could fit together. This is why I was initially interested in a LEOBOG review.

This is the keyboard turned off (nobacklight).

I was sent the LEOBOG K81. It comes in a few different styles, but the “pink bunny” theme is the one I chose. I love how it’s pink and has some really cute designs on some of the keys. The spacebar has two bunnies and reads “Hi have a nice day” on it. The tab bar has a cloud and moon, the caps lock key has two hearts, the windows button has a carrot, and more. I also like how this keyboard is 75% transparent and is backlit with adjustable lighting.

While most of the keys are transparent, the tops of the keys are painted. I like this, as I find the keys really easy to read compared to keyboards that have transparent key covers.

I’ve chosen to leave it with pink backlighting as I feel it matches the keyboard the best. However, you can also choose a rainbow color or other colors of the rainbow. You can adjust the backlighting of this keyboard by holding down the FN key and tapping the tab key to rotate through the color options.

I find the keys to be really satisfying to type on. I haven’t had any trouble adjusting to this keyboard, despite it being a more compact keyboard. In the past when trying compact keyboards, the backspace or other common keys were smaller than I was used to, or located in odd areas which resulted in me pressing the wrong keys accidentally. I haven’t had that happen at all when switching to this keyboard, everything feels like it is placed in the normal places and at the normal size despite the overall keyboard being narrower.

The sounds made by the mechanical keyboard are louder than a non-mechanical keyboard, but quieter than other mechanical keyboards that I have experience with. I find it to be a really nice ‘sweet spot’ between being satisfying for me to listen to, without it disrupting my partner or others who may be around me when I am typing.

I like how the keyboard can be used wirelessly, with Bluetooth or wired. I have been using it wired as I like not having to worry about it staying charged but I am sure others appreciate the option to get rid of the wire. I really like how it has a round dial on the upper right side that lets me adjust the volume of my laptop really effortlessly.

I’ve had multiple people comment on how cute this keyboard is, even though I don’t have that many people visit my house! It just seems to make a bit of a statement with how adorable it is. I like how it adds a little bit of a whimsy feel to my workday. I see myself using this keyboard for a really long time to come!

Win it: LEOBOG is going to provide a K81 keyboard in Pink Bunny theme for one winner! This giveaway is open to the US and will end 4/20/2024 at 11:59pm EST.
