Honeydew Sleep sent me a Scrumptious pillow for review. All opinions are my own.
Over 5 years ago, I tried out the Honeydew sleep sidesleeper pillow for the first time. It was love at first sleep! As a side-sleeper, I always felt like I was battling with the extra fabric in the center of my pillow that would get smushed between my shoulder and my head. The Honeydew sidesleeper pillow is curved on the bottom, leaving space for your shoulder when sleeping on your side. I’ve replaced my original Honeydew sidelseeper pillow at least four times since then. I absolutely love this pillow! The shape is great, but so is the filling. To me, it’s the perfect mixture of supportive and soft. Plus, you can customize the amount of filling in the pillow to suit your preferences.

Ryan’s Honeydew classic scrumptious on the left, my honeydew scrumptious side sleeper on the right. Pepperoni’s floofy tail on the bottom left. This was after multiple attempts to get her out of the area I was trying to photograph.
As a response to me loving the sidesleeper pillow so much, a couple years ago I did my first review for the Honeydew classic scrumptious pillow. This is for non-side sleepers or others who just prefer a more traditional pillow shape, but who love the filling that Honeydew offers. Ryan is a back sleeper so he likes traditionally shaped pillows, but like me, he fell in love with Honeydew from the first time he tried the classic scrumptious pillow. He’s since had his pillow replaced a couple of times. It had been a year or two since the last one so we replaced it yet again. He’s excited to get another year or two out of this awesome model of pillow.
Honeydew pillows, including their classic scrumptious pillow which is not a side-sleeper style pillow, comes in a customized size. While they have both queen and king sizes, the measurements are a bit different than some other queen and king pillows on the market. they make pillows with specific dimensions and weights that have been proven to provide you with the best nights sleep possible! The queen pillow is 27×15. The pillow comes with an organic bamboo pillowcase. The pillowcases fit a bit big when first delivered, but will shrink some on the first wash.

Something we both love about Honeydew pillows is they don’t get flat when they get older. We just choose to replace them because they’re older, and the fill inside isn’t machine washable, so while we clean the pillowcase and exterior regularly, the insides can’t be fixed and may still absorb some sweat and so on. But unlike standard pillows, they never get flat or need to be folded over to be tall enough. I also really like how the pillows maintain more of a plateau shape than some other pillows. Many bed pillows are flatter at the edges, and puff up tall in the center, making a visible hill shape. Honeydew pillows are closer to an even-height across the entire pillow, so you don’t find your head sliding down the edge.

The left in this pic is Ryan’s new classic scrumptious pillow (with the pillowcase it came with), the right is his old honeydew classic scrumptious after being used daily for over a year (with a pillowcase we bought elsewhere)! It really hasn’t flattened with use.

I also love that Honeydew pillows are made in California and are made by hand, by a true family owned business. We truly love our pillows from Honeydew and think they’d make a great gift! They’ll be having black friday and cyber monday sales so keep an eye out for those later this month!
