Aizome sent me two of their organic bath towels in Rosé Rubia to review. All opinions are my own.
I’m picky about towels. I don’t love the softest ones, because drying off with a blanket doesn’t feel right to me, but I also don’t want anything rough. So I was curious how Aizome’s organic towels would compare when they arrived in Rosé Rubia.
These have genuinely become my favorite towels that I own. I reach for them first now. In my opinion, these hit a really nice middle ground for softness without feeling overly soft or not like a really effective, durable, absorbent towel. They’re soft without being overly plush, they’re absorbent, and they’re a nice size and thickness. They also seem sturdy. The length is fairly generous as well, when I wrap it around me I have a lot of overlapping material, as I tried to show in the photo below.

Each towel is $99.00. They’re made from organic cotton and plant dyed, and the brand says they’re ready to use straight out of the box with no pre-wash needed. I haven’t gone through many washes yet, maybe three washes or so? So I can’t speak to long-term wear, but they’re holding up great so far. The listing does include a 1-year trial and a 10-year limited warranty, which gives me some confidence.

I can’t stand that stinky towel smell that standard towels get so easily, so the antimicrobial claim caught my attention. I’m always careful to hang towels after use until they’re fully dry, and try to quickly switch them from washer to dryer when cleaning, but I periodically get that towel odor problem anyway. Aizome says independent lab testing showed up to 99% reduction of bacteria and fungi on the fabric compared to conventional fabric. I’m not a scientist, so I can’t prove that or test it myself. What I can say is that I haven’t noticed any odor so far, in the few uses and washes that I have experienced.

These would make a great gift for anyone who could use new towels. How many of us put off replacing household essentials like this for too long? I know a lot of people who haven’t replaced their towels since they got a set for their wedding, for example. These would make a lovely gift for anyone who could use updated towels. They’d also be a good fit for anyone getting their first place soon, like a college student heading off on their own. Christmas is coming up, and this is a practical gift that gets used all the time. Another ideal recipient would be anyone who is trying to switch to organic products, with these being organic and the company being focused on non-toxic and natural ingredients. With the four color options, you can match to their personal color preferences or try to coordinate with their bathroom decor.
I only tried the full-sized bath towels, but they offer sets that include hand towels and washcloths as well.

Win it: Aizome is generously offering an organic towel set (bath towel, hand towel and washcloth) for one lucky winner. Fill out the GT form below to enter.
