Tricks For Getting Dogs To Take Medication

As my dogs have become seniors we find that they need medication more frequently. Sometimes our pugs do well with simply taking medication right out of a syringe. Other times the liquid must taste bad to them because they won't lick it. Or in terms of pills, they will find it and spit it out. So we've gotten a little crafty with both liquid and pill medications.

Nutrisystem Update – Portion Sizes
I am a Nutrisystem nation blogger. I am provided with a Nutrisystem mean plan in exchange for regular updates. All opinions are my own.
This week I was reminded of how Nutrisystem taught us about portion control. Weight loss got brought up in a conversation with a family member. She was talking about the concept of going vegan for weight loss, with a plan to eat primarily green salads. Through more conversation it became clear to me that she meant essentially living off of fruits and vegetables.

Dog Flu: What You Need To Know

I consider my dogs to be part of my family. I love my pugs more than I thought was possible prior to adopting them. I adore them, and their safety and health is important to me. For my human family members, we take precautions to try to avoid getting sick during cold and flu season. We wash our hands more often, I am careful to change dish towels regularly, we eat healthy and we take multivitamins. It only makes sense to take precautions for the sake of my dogs health, too.
