Beef jerky has been a favorite food of mine since childhood. Since I started paying more attention to what I was eating about 9 months ago, I realized that it's actually a pretty healthy food. It's the healthiest food that is in my top five so I've been letting myself indulge in jerky a lot more often. It's awesome to get a delicious 'treat' that is protein packed, lean and relatively low in calories.
