Fruitables Pumpkin Fall Treats For Your Pet Review

I received products from Fruitables for my review. All opinions are my own. It seems like the first hint of Fall in the air brings about pumpkin flavored everything- lattes, mochas, frapachinos, cappuccino, muffins, cookies, cakes, soups and the list go on. I guess to most, pumpkin is comforting and a symbolic flavor to welcome the new season. Why should dog food and treats be an exception? Fruitables offers a line of pumpkin pet foods so that our furry family members can also enjoy the Fall festivities. Kaylee, Read more [...]

Doggy Digestion Problems

Warning: This blog post discusses dog digestion and gas. When people find out that I have a female pug named Beans they always ask if she is stinky. While I can see why they might think that based on her name, she isn't usually stinky at all. That hasn't always been the case, though. When we first adopted Frank & Beans in July of last year they were quite gassy. They also had frequent diarrhea and constipation problems. Once my sister in law was over when one of the pugs audibly passed Read more [...]

5 Ways To Help Dogs With Arthritis

*I was sent Solvit dog steps. All opinions are my own. My 10-year-old pug Frank has arthritis. Thankfully, most days he has no symptoms. However, on rainy, humid and/or cold days he sometimes walks unevenly, favoring one leg or another. I hate seeing him in pain, so I've been trying to work on his arthritis problem in multiple ways to hopefully do the most benefit. 5 ways to help dogs with arthritis.  1. Check their weight. Frank lost quite a bit of weight right after I brought Read more [...]

The Pugs’ Halloween Costumes From PetSmart

*PetSmart sent dog costumes for review.  All opinions are my own. I decided that I wanted a pug a few years before we actually adopted my two pugs, Frank & Beans. When I decided that I wanted a pug someday, we were living in an apartment that didn't allow pets. So I would go online and look up information about dogs in general as well as pugs and dream about someday having one. At some point I stumbled across a picture of a pug in a Halloween costume. It was adorably funny and I remember Read more [...]

Types of Dog Chews Comparison

*Many of the chews listed in this blog post were sent to me to review. However,  most of them were not sent to me for inclusion in this blog post. These are my honest opinions & experiences. There are affiliate links in this blog post. Soon after bringing Frank & Beans home I realized that chewing helped them handle anxiety. They both get anxious easily, so "chews" are our friend. Over the past 14+ months I have been blessed to work with many wonderful dog brands as well as retailers Read more [...]

Banfield Pet Hospital (inside Petsmart) Review + 6 month Dog Heartworm Protection Giveaway (9/26)

*Banfield Pet Hospital provided me with the Banfield Optimum Wellness Plan & 6 month Proheart treatment. All opinions are my own. When we had pets growing up, caring for them seemed so simple. Give them food everyday, make sure they have a constant source of water, let them outside a few times a day and if they get sick or hurt take them to the vet. My pugs Frank & Beans were the first dogs that I ever had as an adult on my own. I did a fair amount of research about pugs prior to getting Read more [...]

Richell USA Freestanding Pet Gate HS Review

Last year I reviewed the Richell USA Pet Stuff Storage Tower. I loved it then and I still do. It was a great solution to my "what on earth do we do with all of this dog stuff?" problem. We use the bottom for storing kibble and the top for storing toys, chews and treats. I love how it's vertical so it takes up a minimal amount of floor space in my apartment. A couple of months ago I had a new dog-related problem to solve so once again I turned to a Richell USA product. This time the problem Read more [...]

Affordable Dog Gear from AKC

*I was sent products from AKC. All opinions are my own. Back in March I wrote an American Kennel Club review. To date, we had enjoyed everything that we had tried from the AKC brand. So, when I began looking for a car harness for Beans, I knew to try AKC again. Up until a few months ago, the dogs would sit on my lap as I held them in the car. A few months ago Beans began to try jumping into the backseat (by herself) while we were driving. I tried letting her but she didn't have the strength or Read more [...]
