Thank you Caboosee

These are my own honest opinions.

Changing diapers has been a part of my life for nearly 2.5 years (first with my 2-year-old who is now potty trained, and now with my 6-month-old). I use cloth diapers and also EC part-time. It is very important for me to not let my baby in a soiled or wet diaper for any length of time. To make sure she is in a clean diaper, I check it ALL the time.

Because of this habit, one piece of baby clothing I find to be annoying is onesies. In fact, I try and  look for t-shirts or dresses because it is easier to check diapers that way without having to remove her pants and unbutton her onesie. Problem is, there aren’t tons of baby t-shirts out there and onesies stay in place better… Solution: get onesies that are designed to let you check your baby’s diaper!

caboosee logoCaboosee onesies tackle this problem. They are designed with an elastic opening across the back. The opening is just above baby’s diaper so you can easily peek through it and lift the top of the diaper to see if it’s wet or soiled. No need to take pants off anymore! It’s so convenient I wonder why all onesies aren’t designed that way.

caboosee 1For this review, I received 3 onesies. They come in 2 sizes: small (3-6 months) and medium (6-12 months) so I chose medium for my 6-month-old. They are all white with a simple design printed in front. When you place an order, you can choose the design and its color. There are 5 designs to choose from and 8 colors so there are tons of possibilities! Emily, owner of Caboosee, told me that she will soon be adding new color options for the onesies too with the elastic band in a fun pattern (as you can see in the picture on the right).

Here are the 3 onsies I received. I love all 3 but the glasses one is totally adorable! My only complaint so far is the printed design doesn’t look at good as it did when I first received them. I think they might have stretched a bit in the wash or something so in some places you can see white vertical lines from the fabric through the picture. Since the printing itself is not meant to be a saturated, it’s not a huge deal. It looks a little like an aged t-shirt.

In terms of design, the opening at the back is great! Caboosee onesies make it really easy to check my daughter’s diaper in just a few seconds, without taking her pants off. I like that there is a snap to keep it from gaping. I can’t wait to see the new colors and prints that will be added in the near future!
