Along with back to school comes the morning time crunch. Getting everyone fed and lunch bags packed during this hectic period can take up any remaining seconds before the bus arrives. Thankfully, Krusteaz offers a variety of baking mixes for breakfasts, snacks, and even a line of flatbreads perfect for creating a delicious supper in no time. Today, we’re going to concentrate on their delicious Cookie Mixes, perfect for a special treat in the lunch bags!
We received a variety of Krusteaz Cookie Baking Mixes as well as kitchen goodies to help us make our yummy creations. The kids all chose to go with the classic Triple Chocolate Chunk first. I jumped over to the Krusteaz site for extra inspiration and found the suggestion to add peanut butter chips to the batter so we prepared to do that to half the batch.
To create our delicious cookies, we had to combine 1 egg, 1 stick butter, and the baking mix. I loved the simplistic steps and the kids enjoyed being my helpers. (I typically don’t make cookies very often because they are so time consuming to prepare and then bake so this was a big treat.) In just a few minutes, our dough was on the pan and ready to bake!
Thirteen minutes later and our cookies were done! After letting them set for a couple minutes, I popped them off the pan and everyone devoured them for an after lunch dessert. We were able to get 18 decent sized cookies from one package.
Not only does Krusteaz have delicious products, I really like how user friendly their website is too. I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates.
