Last night in the middle of my update my keyboard just quit working, all together. it made crazy stuff start popping up all over the screen and stuff. so i just gave up. yet when i got on today i saw that part of my post posted itself somehow. haha. so who knows? But yeah, so we had to dig out a different keyboard that is way different than the one I’m used to. i really liked the one that went bad last night. it was really flat for being a desktop keyboard, it pretty much felt like a laptop keyboard. so going back to a regular one that has big buttons that have to be pushed down really far and really hard, is weird, and REALLY noisy. clack clack clack. haha. oh well.
last night I went to my cousins engagement party and my aunt was there and brought me some fabric she had found. one of the things of fabric she gave me was really ugly – I’m pretty sure I’ll never use it, but the other is just colored stripes, which kinda seems ugly but i think it’ll work really cute on a chubby monster. so I’m gonna try that out today.
I found out yesterday that I can stop in tomorrow and get the money I spent on my books back. which is over 400 dollars all together. so that’s sweet, because we’ve been realllllly broke the last couple of weeks because of random expenses that came up while moving in to our new apartment. and in 2 weeks I’ll get the left over financial aid money back. so within the next couple of weeks I’m gonna invest a little bit of money into materials for monsters. Like I need colored thread, because the only colors I currently have are black white and gay. and i need a pincushion. but i want to try and make my own pincushion instead of buying one. I need to find a tutorial for how to make one. and I want to buy some safety eyes to try out on my monsters, as well as some paint to try painting a face instead of using fabric scraps.
I also want to try and make slippers. So if anyone knows where theres a good tutorial for slipper making and/or a tutorial for making a pincushion – i’d really appreciate links =]
