I don’t know about where you live, but in Michigan it’s still 100 percent winter here. In michigan we are lucky to be rid of snow by mid march. To make matters worse, I’m one of those “I’m always cold” people. So, when I heard of The
Slanket, I knew I had to get one.
My Slanket arrived earlier this week and I have been living in it ever since. It is every bit as amazing as it sounds, plus some. I put it on as soon as I get home from school. Today I had to walk home because I share a vehicle with my bf who had to take it today, so I walked home and although it’s not far, I had an art class as my last class, so I had washed my hands right before I started walking home, so my hands hurt pretty bad by the time I got a block or so away. So for most o fmy way home I was thinking about my Slanket and how much I wished I had it.
There are a few downsides to the Slanket in my opinion. The main one being the size of the sleeves. they are VERY wide at the wrist opening – over 13 inches when folded flat. So I always feel like I need to push the sleeves of it up. Also, the Slanket is SO long on me that I have to either take the Slanket off if I need to walk around, or else I have to bunch it up in a ball and carry the bottom portion with me. However I am only 5 foot tall, so I wouldn’t expect that most ‘one size fits all’ products would fit me. Neither of these are big problems for me, as I mostly lounge around while in my Slanket anyway.
An interesting alternative to the regular Slanket is the travel slanket. Although it is intended for airplanes and stuff like that, it’s much shorter in length and is also less big around. I think this would be great for someone like me who is on the short side of average and would like to be able to walk around in my Slanket
Theslanket.com also has couples’ Slankets and kid sized Slankets
