I got the chance to work with Orly to review a few of their nail colors. Their polishes are Lacquers which are intended to last longer than traditional polishes. I was sent three polishes to try out, and did notice that the polish seemed to last a bit longer than usual. I love to wear nail polish, my nails are rarely ever bare, but they are usually about half painted because although I adore nail polish, I am not the most feminine in other ways, I don’t mind dirt, or using my nails to peel something open, apart, etc. So my nail polish tends to suffer, and usually really quickly. My nails only stay fully painted for 24-48 hours before they start to chip or crack. With Orly, this seemed to be more like 3-4 days, which is great. Although their ability to last longer than other brands is probably their most advertised point, my favorite thing about this brand is their cap!
All nail polish caps from Orly are very cushy, and have circled that cave in, as a texture along the sides. The material the cap is made out of is a rubbery material that ‘gives’ a lot, unlike plastic. Between the material and the texture, these caps are super easy to grip and open. No more soaking your nail polish bottle in hot water for 15 minutes before using a jar-gripper to get the thing open! This to me is by far the best part of these polishes. I wish all brands of nail polish were smart enough to make a grippy cap like Orly’s.
Overall I really like this brand of polish. They have tons of colors to choose from too!
