I’m someone who has somewhat of a ‘daily uniform’ in the most casual sense. Most days, I can be found in my house working on my computer wearing a pair of leggings and a 100% cotton v-neck t shirt. That’s my go-to. I like the simplicity of it, the comfort, and cotton is the best fabric for not irritating my sensory issues.
A lot of stores in my local area have moved away from cotton based clothing the last couple of years, which I have found frustrating. Thankfully, Gildan has not been part of that changing trend. They still offer lots of 100% cotton items, so they’re a brand that I will continue to purchase from and adore.
Recently, they sent me some solid women’s v-neck t-shirts, and they sent Ryan a package of boxer-brief underwear. While we’ve both owned plenty of Gildan clothing items over the years, somehow he had never tried boxer briefs. Even boxer-briefs in some brands are no longer cotton-based like they used to be. Ryan really likes 100% cotton for his underwear, so we’re glad that’s what Gildan’s Regular Leg Boxer Briefs are 100% cotton still. We ordered these in Ryan’s usual size and they fit as expected for the most part. He did notice that the backside is slightly more spacious than some other brands of multipack boxer-briefs, so these might be a particularly good fit for men who have “junk in the trunk”. The difference is relatively mild though! Ryan finds these comfortable, breathable and he likes the standard length that these come in, not too long or too short.
I was sent four v-necks, all were the Gildan® 5V00L women’s v-neck. This is a great “uniform” shirt for me, I’d gladly wear a version of this v-neck daily. It’s true to size, comes in really nice colors, is soft to the touch, easy to wash, slightly feminine in fit without being tight or overly revealing – absolutely perfect for me, personally.
I especially love that Gildan offers this in purple because purple is my favorite color, yet a lot of other brands stick with really basic colors for v-necks. If they offer any brigher colors, it’s usually red or pink, no purples. The purple in this shirt is my absolute favorite shade of purple, too so it’s a real favorite of mine.
The last item I was sent was a Gildan® 5V00L v-neck shirt for women and Gildan® SF000 unisex sweater, also in purple. I ordered this in the same size as the women’s t-shirts, which was a bit thoughtless of me. I should have ordered a size smaller in the uunisex shirt compared to the women’s shirt. So, the sweater is a bit big on me, but it’s very comfortable and I love the color!
