Stomp the Happy Blankie
I was a blanky kid, as a kid. I had my oh so special blanky that I couldn’t sleep without. I guess that when you’re a blanky kid you never fully outgrow it, because my heart completely melted the first time I saw a blanky from Happy Blankie. What is happy blankie? Happy Blankie is a company that creates absolutely adorable blankies, all of which are the heads of adorable smiling animals. What a cute idea! The idea came from a 7 year old! How many companies can say that?
Stomp the Happy Blankie in back
I was thrilled to receive Stomp the frog Happy Blankie in size small to review. I plan to give this to my nephew when he’s born (sometime between the 25th-14th!). The small size is 18 by 18, and is comparable to the size of most ‘loveys’. However, happy blankie also offers a size medium which is 36 by 36, and a large which is 48 by 56. The front of the blankies are made of minky, and if you happen to be unfamiliar with minky it’s only about the softest material in the world. I adore minky. The outside trim and back is a silky satin. I love the silky part especially because as a kid my blanky was trimmed in a silky fabric and that was my favorite part. I’ve known a lot of other kids with special blankies where they wear out the silky part from rubbing it so much. I think a silky part is basically a must in a baby blanky. hehe. Overall the Happy Blankie I was sent is great ,it’s super soft and unbelievably cute. The only downside I can come up with is there is a fairly large sewn in tag that says ‘Hi I’m stomp, the happy frog’. This wouldn’t bother me at all except it’s pretty large compared to the blanket. However, I did have to ask myself ‘Is there ANYTHING I would change about this blanket?” before I came up with that, so it’s definitely not a big deal at all.
Happy Blankie also offers personalization so you can get your child’s name written on his happy blankie. Also, for every happy blankie sold, one is donated to a child in need. So you can feel great about purchasing from this place. Overall I love the blanket, the company and the idea in general. I definitely give my approval :).
