This gift idea is great for those 7+. Although kids as young as 7 can play You gotta be kidding me!, I have to admit that I enjoyed it a lot myself! It didn’t feel like I was playing a children’s game, but I can definitely see how a 7 year old would enjoy this game all the same. If you’re looking for a great game for your family to play while eating dinner or just for the bonding experience, this is a great one. It’s bound to have everyone laughing. The game is made by zobmondo and based around really silly questions, such as “Would you rather live the rest of your life covered in scales, or have one popcorn shell stuck between each of your teeth, forever?” and what really surprised me was for almost every question, I almost immediately knew my answer. I can’t STAND having popcorn (or anything) stuck in my teeth. That feeling just drives me bonkers. So I’d gladly be covered in itchy scabs instead. I kept laughing at my choices, and how easy they were for me to make and justify. However, to be successful in the game you have to guess what other peoples answers would be. My instinct was to think that EVERYBODY would prefer itchy scabs over popcorn shell teeth. However, for many of the questions, my family could quickly and easily make the opposite decision that I would make. They would take popcorn shell teeth over itchy scabs any day. Really? How gross! Haha. Kids really get a kick out of the absurd questions, and adults get in on the laughs just as well. We really enjoyed this game and it doesn’t take too long, maybe half an hour to 45 minutes, so it’d be great for dinner or to squeeze in some family time during the week when you only have a few hours together.
Would you rather…? Is a very similar game but it requires a minimum of four players, so it’s the ‘party game’ version in a sense. It also takes quit a bit longer to finish an entire gae which is great if you’re hanging out with friends and wanting to hang out and waste time while having fun. This would be a really great gift idea for teenagers or adults who like to have nights in with friends. I love how this game includes a ton of questions. In the past I’ve played games that are question based that don’t include nearly enough question cards, so if you play a few times you start to repeat the same questions and the game quickly goes down hill after that. Would you rather…? includes 800 question cards. It would take forever to get through that many! Both games are a ton of fun and would make great holiday gifts!

We played lots of games when the kids were younger and home. These two sound fun, but we don’t have anyone to have game nights with anymore. I’ll keep them in mind for gifts for friends with children.
