I recently was accepted into the chicken soup for the soul blog review network. I was excited about this because I have been a fan of chicken soup for the soul books for a long time. I beleive I was in 5th grade when I first read a chicken soup for the soul book, and I have loved them eversince. Unforutnately I recieved my first book too close to Christmas to host a giveaway and get it to you in time, so this time around I am only doing a review. However, in the future I will have some great chicken soup for the soul giveaways for you, so be sure to stay tuned! The book I received is chicken soup for the soul christmas magic, it’s a great book, and met my expectations just like all the chicken soup books like I have read have. I enjoy the holiday season a lot, but I don’t really go over the top. I don’t consider myself to be a particularly Christmassy person and I’m not the type to decorate for Christmas before thanksgiving. So, when I first saw the book I thought it might get boring for me, but I was wrong. All of the stories that I have read from the book are very heartfelt and really tug at your emotions in one way or another. I think this book would be great to have around a few weeks prior to Christmas, so that you could pick it up and read a few stories to get yourself into the Christmas mood on a bad day. This book would also make a great Christmas gift. I had time to read two or three stories before Christmas, but the majority of it I have read afterwards and it’s still been enjoyable even though it’s out of season now.
Buy it: You can purchase Chicken Soup for The Soul: Christmas Magic on amazon.com for 8.95.

I’ll have to let the library know about this one. They have many of the other additions and they are popular.
I love the Chicken Soup books, they are great when I need a good cry… it’s so heartwarming to hear about the good out there for a change 🙂
