Ryan’s birthday was Wednesday. We didn’t do anything too special. We’ve had a lot going on so he opted to just sit around the house and relax, but it was fun. I got him a hoodie he’d been wanting since last fall. We’ve been together for 5 of his birthdays now. I’ve always been a picky eater and I hate that I am, because I have such a hard time eating foods that taste poorly to me, that it’s obvious to others that I don’t like the food, even though I try my best to hide it. The first time Ryan had a birthday, he had said we would go to this restaurant that had ice cream, pizza, burgers and other basic foods like that. I had been there as a kid and knew they had stuff I would eat, but it wasn’t somewhere I would often remember to go, so I thought it was a great choice.

When we got there, we found out that someone new had bought the business and turned it into an italian restaurant and my heart sank because I (thought) I knew I wouldn’t find anything I would be willing to eat, but he seemed excited by teh fact it was now italian and it was his birthday so I wanted to let him choose where we went. They had pizza which I was so thankful for, I immediately felt relieved and when it came it was the best pizza either of us had ever eaten. It was awesome. After that it was our “go to” restaurant for every occasion until it went out of business last summer. I’m still bummed that it isn’t in business, it was so yummy.
