When you are trying to lose weight with Nutrisystem, they tell you to drink at least 64 ounces of water, every day. I want to remind myself (and you) why water is so important. A large portion of our body is water. Our organs and tissue depend on our body having enough water in it to allow them to function properly. On top of that, if you are trying to lose weight, your body needs water to help you maintain metabolism, feel full and curb hunger. If you don’t have enough water, it can lead to dehydration and your metabolism will slow. Water is essential to healthy living!
I will be honest and tell you that I have not been the best at drinking my water the last couple of weeks. I can sure feel the difference. I am going to make a real commitment to myself (and you) to drink all of my water this week.
My measurements stayed the same this week. In 33 weeks, I have lost 38 inches and 43 pounds.
I want to share a new recipe I found on the Nutrisystem website- Chicken Salad with Mango and Avocado
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups torn romaine lettuce, or your choice of lettuce
1 oz. grated low fat cheese
½ cup mango cubes
1 pkg. Nutrisystem Grilled Chicken Breast, cut bite sized
2 slices tomato, cut into halves
3 slices avocado, 1/8 of whole
Directions
1. Tear lettuce into bite-sized pieces, or thinly slice, and place on dinner plate.
2. Cut chicken and mango into bite-sized pieces.
3. Spray Teflon-coated pan with non-stick spray. Add chicken pieces and cut up mango; stir over medium heat until warm.
4. Spoon chicken mixture over the lettuce.
5. Top the lettuce with slices of tomato and avocado.
6. Sprinkle with grated cheese and enjoy!
Note: Replace roll with a Smart Carb serving of your choice.
Counts As- 1 Dinner + 1 Extra: Limited + 1 Power Fuel + 1/2 Smart Carb + 2 Vegetable

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.
