Thank you to Bestowed- for providing me with a one month membership, free of charge, for review. These are my own honest opinions.

The first time I learned of Bestowed was when I received the opportunity to review a one-month subscription of their box. Bestowed is a company that was created by the nationally known nutritionist Heather Bauer. She wanted to give answers to those people who search the health food section of stores and wonder which products are really the best.

Heather has a team of health and diet experts that work together with her to carefully choose five (plus) product samples that have jumped to their attention. Bestowed members receive a box each month with those samples of the five (or more) products that Heather and her team felt were important to be chosen that particular month.  Items may include snacks, nutrition bars, breakfast cereals, supplements, and more.  These boxes are delivered right to your door each month.

The June 2013 Bestowed monthly subscription that I received included: 14 oz. bottle of ZICO Natural Coconut Water, Bon’App, Bakery On Main Coconut Cashew Truebar, (2) ROOTS Superfood Powder Packets, coupon for Dr. Praeger’s California Veggie Burgers, .70 oz. GimMe Seaweed Cheddar Cheese Roasted Seaweed Crumbles, Herban Essentials Mini Pack Essential Oil Towelettes, and a .5 oz. packet of Artisana Organic Foods SuperFood Acai Berry Nut Butter.  Along with all the samples is a newsletter that lists what’s inside your box for the month.  Heather writes to tell you why her team loves that particular product and two tips about or for use of the item.  I was confused on the Bon’App because there was no information on where to go to get it or if there was a cost involved, however, when I visited the Bestowed website I found where to go to get the free app.  Before heading to the website, though, I had dropped an email to Bestowed asking about the app.  They got back to me very quickly with the info too.

I do like the idea of Bestowed.  I shop the organic and natural section of the grocery stores and I catch myself staring at the shelves wondering what I should purchase some days.  Bestowed will definitely give you the opportunity to try some great new products that you may not have ever heard of.  I have not yet gotten to the store to see if our local chains carry the Dr. Praeger’s California Veggie Burgers yet so I’m not sure how I feel about a coupon for a free product being in the box.  I will be bummed if I am unable to find them.  So while I would prefer that there would be no free product coupons, I would like to try new cold and freezer items too.  Even without that coupon, there was still more than five other product samples.  Even though we didn’t care for all the items, it was fun to try some new things.

Bestowed memberships start at $19 per month for monthly subscriptions or an annual subscription can be purchased for $209.  Shipping is included in this price.  Emily Reviews readers can receive a discount on your membership right now too.  All readers signing up for their first box can get $5 off by using discount code 5OFFBSTOWED01.

You can connect with Bestowed on Facebook and Twitter.  One lucky Emily Reviews reader will win a one month subscription to Bestowed.  Giveaway is open to the US and ends on July 4, 2013.
