This has been a great week. As I have said in the past, Nutrisystem suggests 30 minutes of exercise each day. Well, this week, I was actually able to make exercising a real priority. A few days this week, my daughters and I went to the High School track and exercised there. I also pulled out a DVD that I had filed away as being to difficult and I completed it a couple days. I have exercised anywhere from 45-75 minutes every day. It felt great and helped me relieve some stress.
While we were playing at the park this morning, I notice that my wedding ring was tight. My stomach sank as that told me my weigh-in wasn’t going to show all my hard work. Well I was right…sort of. I checked the calendar and figured out that it’s that lovely time of the month BUT, that means I am simply retaining water, not that I hadn’t done well with my weight/inches lost.
So, with that extra water weight, my measurements didn’t show a loss in inches; however, I did lose 2 pounds. Overall, I have lost 48 inches and 52 pounds! Only 8 pounds to my goal!
While visiting the Nutrisystem website, I was looking for a refreshing summer treat that would allow me to feel spoiled but not rotten. I found the perfect recipe, a Lemony Smoothie! You can watch me make the Lemony Smoothie in this video.
Ingredients
1 pkg Nutrisystem Smooth Vanilla (or Strawberry) Protein Shake Mix
16 oz Water
1 packet Crystal Light On the Go Natural Lemonade
Directions
1. Mix one Crystal Light On the Go Natural Lemonade packet with 16 oz. water.
2. Follow the directions to make the Smooth Vanilla Protein Shake, using Crystal Light lemonade instead of plain water.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.
