With the chilly spring that we’ve had, I’m so thankful that the weather is finally acting like Summer here in Michigan. The kids are out of school and everyone seems to be looking for ways to keep cool. Last summer I was at the grocery store and thought about buying some frozen treats, and as someone who doesn’t care for ice cream that limits me to sorbet or ice pops. I was shocked at the prices of most of the ice pops – $4-6 a box with only 6-10 pops in each box?
Thankfully, Flav-Vor-Ice is a brand that is much more affordable – averaging just .10 per pop! Each one only has 20 calories, too – so if your kiddos ask for more than one in a day you don’t have to feel too guilty about it. This past weekend I was at my dads for fathers day and my sister in law handed out Fla-Vor-Ice’s to all of my nieces and nephews – there were five kids there, so it was only a .50 value – it would have been much more to hand out ice pops to five kids. It’s always interesting to see which kids prefer which colors or flavors. As a kid, I always wanted blue and would eat them first. Once they were finished, I’d go for pink. The last color to go was always yellow or red. Yet, this past weekend three of the five kids asked for red!
Fla-Vor-Ice’s claim to be a “mom approved snack” and I certainly see that in my social circles because more so than other brands, I see moms handing out Fla-vor-ices regularly. They are great for groups, birthdays, or for after summer sports practices. They don’t contain any allergens so they are safe to bring as a snack for others’ children, as well.
Fla-Vor-Ice offers three types of products – original, tropical and sugar-free. So even if you like to avoid sugar, you can indulge in a Fla-Vor-Ice.

Yes these have always been more affordable I’ve found. I didn’t know they made sugar-free but that’s great so diabetics can have them too. I loved these and shaved ice in the summer.
