I was sent the Learning Resources Giant Magnetic Gallon Set to review.  This is a 36 piece set containing a four piece gallon jug, four quarts, eight pints, sixteen cups, and a label for each group as well as a small activity guide with four suggestions for using your Giant Magnetic Gallon Set.  While the suggested age on this set is 2nd grade and up, we’ve been working on liquid measurement with our six year old (would be first grader) too.  I really like that the kids will now have a visual as liquid measuring can be quite confusing.  In the past, we’ve used real visuals but I’m happy to have a cleaner alternative that will not spill now available to us.

When reviewing the Giant Magnetic Gallon Set with the kids, it was nice to learn that the measurements each fit correctly into the corresponding unit.  When I asked my daughter how many pints fit into a gallon, she was able to place the correct number neatly inside and double check her answer and see if she was right.   Since the pieces all lined up perfectly, she knew she was correct.
