locker 1

August is upon us and it’s time for back-to-school preparations.  I remember this time being filled with excitement and anxiety back when I was in school.  It was always fun to prepare but once I would get to school, reality would sink in.  I have found a great company called LockerLookz that transforms your child’s locker and brighten their school days even after newness of a new year wears off.

Locker Lookz

LockerLookz has mix and match locker design collections where you and your child get to choose the perfect combinations to suit their likes and personality.  They carry WallPaper, Rugs, Bins, Mirrors, Flowers, Chandeliers, Dry Erase Boards, and more.  There are multiple colors and patterns for you to choose from as well.

I was sent an assortment of LockerLookz loot for review.  Since we homeschool, I enlisted the help of one of my favorite people in the world.  She is going into 8th grade and was thrilled to be my tester.  Her initial reaction was that she loved the colors and prints.  She thought these were the coolest decor items she had ever seen.  Definitely brag worthy.

We really wanted to test these in a locker but 8th graders don’t get an orientation day.  Actually, they don’t even get their assigned locker until the first day of school.  However, we weren’t going to let that stop us.  So, we grabbed our Locker Lookz Gear and headed to the school on a sunny Summer day to do some testing.  The school was practically deserted except for one nice lady carrying in boxes and the band teacher moving instruments.  We made a beeline for the locker area hoping nobody would pay any attention to us.  As we started to put together our “test locker” the band teacher did stop to check it out.  He thought it was really neat and requested that we do a locker for him next but in a little less pink.

Since this was only a test, we did not fully assemble the whole locker with our LockerLookz Gear.  There was enough wallpaper to cover the whole inside of the locker with the pink damask design but we only did a small portion so you could see how great this looks.  The one thing we didn’t prepare well for, though, was the chandelier.  It takes 3 AAA batteries, not included, so we weren’t able to light it up at the school.  As soon as we got back home we put some batteries in to show you the wow factor.  There are three settings on the chandelier.  On, motion activated, or off.  The magnet on to attach this to the locker was really strong as well.  I have no concerns about it falling off because it clamped itself on nice and tight to the metal.

All the pieces we received from Locker Lookz look and feel quality made.  The rug is adorable and quite thick and soft.  The bins are plastic coated on the outside and have bling on the font of both.  I wish I had some for my office, they are so cute.  They will be perfect to put pens and pencils in.  The flower even has extra glam in the center for a sparkly look.  I would have loved to have such a cool locker when I was in school! You can Design Your Own Locker now too.  I think this would be a great addition to any girls locker from elementary all the way through high school.
