I’m really picky when it comes to jewelry. I’m allergic to some of the metals used in cheaper jewelry so I stick to sterling silver or gold jewelry and tend to go for pieces that I can wear regularly instead of matching my jewelry to each outfit. Seems how I wear the jewelry that I buy for long periods of time, I have to make sure that I really like what I get. Yet, I still like to save money where I can – who wants to spend more than they have to?

Super Jeweler is a website that sells nice jewelry – wedding jewelry, promise rings ,a huge sterling silver, various gemstone jewelry, etc. My favorite color is purple so naturally, I like Amethyst jewelry. They have a nice selection of options for Amethyst jewelry, but in the end I went with the 1/2ct Amethyst and Diamond Ring in Sterling Silver ring. I like jewelry that is of an average size – too dainty can be hard to see and too big draws too much attention. This gemstone is a great mid-size in my opinion. On either side of the Amethyst there is a small diamond. It comes in both half and full sizes which is a huge bonus in my opinion – I don’t like when sites only allow you to order full sizes so then you’re more likely to have to pay to have it resized.

I admit I was pretty surprised when the ring arrived because the gemstone was such a different shade than the website showed. Amethyst comes in a wide range of shades of purple so when you order any of their amethyst jewelry, you could get any shade of amethyst. I got a stone that falls on the really light end of amethyst, so sometimes it actually looks more pink than purple. I really like the color, it just wasn’t what I expected. So if you are really picky about color, be mindful that shades can vary quite a bit. I really like this ring and have worn it daily for the past few weeks since it arrived. It could probably stand to be polished but that’s to be expected from any jewelry and is still really pretty.
