The city I grocery shop in has a ban on the large “carry out” plastic bags and is proposing a ban on the smaller produce bags. Our city residents seem to be split on the whole issue of reusable bags. I believe the issue some community members have is with the city telling them what they can and cannot do. No matter what side of the issue we are on, I believe most of us agree that we like the fact that we aren’t filling our landfill with nearly as many plastic bags.

I rather enjoy using cloth reusable bags. I have compiled a substantial collection of them to help hall the majority of our groceries. I discovered, however, that I was lacking in our supply of reusable produce bags. Each time we go shopping I would immediately fill my 6 reusable produce bags and then have to use plastic for the rest of my shopping (these plastic bags are still available for the time being). I don’t like having to rely on the plastic bags since I don’t know how much longer they’ll be available. Being the proactive person that I am, I went in search of a solution and discovered A Greener Kitchen. They helped me find the perfect reusable produce bags to complete my collection of reusable bags.

For my review, A Greener Kitchen sent me Organic Cotton Reusable Produce Bags in the Garden/Natural print.

The Organic Cotton Reusable Produce Bags come in a set of 6. There are three different sizes. One of each of the sizes has a beautiful floral print on the top. The other bag in each size is plain. The bags are made with Fair Trade, Certified Organic Cotton. Each bag has an elastic loop so you can securely close the bag. I love that this closure is sewn in so that I never lose it. I also prefer this loop closure to drawstring because the bag I have with drawstrings always seems to have a knot in the drawstrings.

I use these reusable produce bags for all of my fresh fruits, veggies and bulk goods. They are great sizes and work very well. It’s also a bonus that they are beautiful bags.

You can connect with A Greener Kitchen on facebook, twitter and pinterest.

One winner will receive a set of 6 reusable produce bags from A Greener Kitchen. This is a US giveaway and it will end on 10/15/2013.
