It may be Winter here in Minnesota but safety is always on my mind.  Sun safety, especially, is something that I have always worried about but even more so now that we have children.  Even as a teen, I always chose to abstain from tanning beds because I was worried about the possible side effects.  Two of my close relatives had skin cancer scares so sun protection is something I just can’t ignore.

The Women’s Beach Hoodie is available in Hot Pink or Teal.  It’s lightweight, made from a breezy knit fabric (think swimsuit material), and super cute.  It’s so comfortable that I ended  up wearing it around the house for a couple hours when I was testing it out.  We are heading to a hotel  in a couple weeks and I will definitely be packing this along as it makes a great fashionable cover up.  I can’t wait for Summer to come now that I have something to wear at the beach.

While this is my first piece of UV Skinz, our family has previous experience with UV Skinz products.  My husband and our son both own some of their products as well.  When I first purchased the Short Sleeve Sun & Swim Shirt for my husband, he was doubtful.  I had to make him wear it the first time but now he can’t live without it.  Every time we are heading to the beach (or hotel), he makes sure that his shirt is packed.   I have the Boys 3 Piece Sun & Swim Set in Silly Fish for our 3 year old.  While he usually ends up taking the hat off once he heads down to the water, he really likes his UV Skinz.  I like that he’s protected from the sun and, since he’s tiny for his age, also stays a little warmer having a swim shirt on.  The only change I’d make to this set is I wish the hat came with a velcro strap.  I think our son would leave it on, even in the water, if it was “attached” to his head.
