Thank you to Just Pretend Kids for providing me with a Lion Costume, free of charge, for review. All opinions are my own.
While my kids do enjoy Halloween, trick-or-treeting, and all that goes along with that, I typically dread the process of finding costumes. We’ve been disappointed so many times in the past by the poor quality we’ve found at the stores. So this time, I turned online and found Just Pretend Kids. They offer a variety of Costumes, Dress Ups, Tutus, Wings, Party Supplies, and more. I was thrilled to partner with them to bring you this post.
Just Pretend Kids sent me their Toddler Animal Lion Costume for review. The photos looked adorable but I was still leery about what our real-life impression would be. Turns out, I needn’t have worried! The Lion Costume is every bit as adorable in person as in photos! As I was removing the costume from the package, I loved how soft it felt. The material is plush and very flexible so I know our son will be comfortable while wearing.
The body is a one-piece suit. The feet and paws are all attached which is great because otherwise I could see them getting lost. The feet have an elastic band under them to hold them to the child’s shoe and the foot rests on top of the shoe. The headpiece is separate but can easily be hung on the hanger with the costume for safe keeping. It stays secure on our son’s head with the velcro closure. The body has a nice quality zipper along the back for easy dressing as well as snaps along the bottom for easy diaper changes (if needed).
I choose the size 3T-4T for our son who just turned 4 and wears size 4 clothing. I know that many costumes run small so I figured, if need be, I’d just have our 2 year old wear the Lion Costume. Turns out, it fits our 4 year old perfectly! Plus, he wasted no time getting into character and chasing his sister!
I am really happy with the quality of our Lion Costume from Just Pretend Kids. It feels well made and I’m confidant that it will hold up well and our younger son will be able to wear it in the future. All the little details from the tail to the claws on the hands and feet to the gorgeous head piece really pull this costume together well. Plus, I really like the fact that there is nothing blocking a child’s vision while wearing this costume.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
