We spend a lot of time on the floor in our home. A couple years ago, we even bought a new couch that we all hated and spent the next full year with everyone sitting on the floor for everything. None of us ever sat on the couch, we all disliked it so much! How we spent over an hour in the store sitting on it and thought it was comfortable escapes me. I still wonder if we received a different couch. lol. Finally, we did break down and purchase a new, comfortable couch that we like but, with five young kids, we still spend a great deal of time on the floor playing, wrestling, watching movies, and having picnics. Since our carpet is at least fifteen years old, there is not much padding left in it so I went in search of a better option since our baby will be joining the others on the floor soon. We received the Snug Square Play Mat in Espresso Cream from Baby Mushroom. It comes in a plastic storage bag that can be reused. After unrolling, the edges were a little upturned so I placed a toy on each corner overnight and they were straight by morning. As soon as the kids saw this, they were all over it. We all noticed immediately how soft and plush it was. Measuring in at about 55″ by 55″, this is a generous sized play mat that is perfect for tummy time with small children and a soft place to lay, play, or wrestle as they grow.
We’ve already gotten multiple compliments on this mat from visitors. Everyone wants to know what it is because it’s just so soft. I like that it’s also lightweight because I am able to easily move it between our play area or over to the living room side for movie time.
