There are lots of traditions during the holiday season and they can vary from family to family. For us, every year, we get together with some friends and make up 30+ Christmas Goodie Plates to drop off at neighbors, family, friends, and the Pastors homes. Another tradition we have is to spend a day with the kids digging out boxes and then decorating the tree and house. Every year, for as long as I can remember, I have also donated time helping with our church’s dinner theatre rendition of “In Bethlehem Inn”. However, I think my favorite tradition is creating and sending out a photo Christmas Card. Plus, I love receiving everyone else’s in the mail too.
Oubly has a variety of Christmas & Holiday Cards to choose from. After browsing their selection, I went with the With Love Merry Christmas design. The process to order was quite simple. The background of this particular card has three color choices: Red, Blue, or Green. Paper options included Premium Natural White, Pearly Crystal Metallic, and Super Deluxe Edge. Then, there is also the choice for the edge color. We clicked on the Red Background, Premium Natural White paper, and a Silver Edge.
Then it was time to personalize. I uploaded our photos and chose our writing. The back of the card can be plain, a design, or another photo. Since we added a new baby this year, I chose to put a picture of our four older kids meeting her for the first time as our back photo. Had we not had such a big event so recently, I would have chosen the same background design as the front.
From start to finish, it took me less than 10 minutes to have my cards created and the order submitted. While I didn’t check the box for a proof to be sent to me for confirmation, I’m grateful that Oubly takes the time to double check submissions because they did reach out to me to let me know the original photo I submitted was grainy. So I sent a new photo over that would work better and they made the change.
Overall, I am really happy with Oubly. The cards are very sturdy and feel like high quality card stock. The photos turned out nicely and envelopes are included for free with card orders.
