Different versions and theories of the story of Noah and the Ark have been passed around for ages.  While some of the details may differ, there’s no doubt that the search has been on to find the final resting place of Noah’s Ark for over 2,000 years.  There have been many attempts to locate by a vast number of people as well as some who have even claimed to have seen it!  Mount Ararat has been the main focus but it’s been a difficult place to explore.   Located in Eastern Turkey, it’s nicknamed “The Painful Mountain” and with good cause.  Dangers lurk in the constant threat of dangerous rock slides as well as hidden and deep crevasses, and even glacial ice falls.  All of this on top of the fact that it’s located in a geo-politically unstable hot spot.

So join director Brent Baum and his Finding Noah film crew on this unprecedented feature-length documentary as they head up Mount Ararat on an expedition of a life time.  This film is full of the beauty and wonder of nature, excitements, disappointments, injury, discovery, and the fierceness of Mother Nature.  With the use of state of the art technology and real-time satellite imagery, this adventurous crew of archaeologists, scientists, and professional mountaineers begin to grid the mountain and work to find remnants of the Ark.  This quest begins with a search for answers and becomes a testament of the human spirit, faith, and beliefs.

All four of our older kids ages 3 through 10 and I sat through an early preview showing of Finding Noah that was streamed into our home.  It was a great documentary that we found to be exciting, intense, and very interesting.
