Thank you to Learning Resources for providing me with product, free of charge, in exchange for this honest blog review. All opinions are 100% my own.
Whether sending kids back to public school, private school, alternative school, or even homeschooling, Learning Resources truly offers an amazing selection of products to aid in the learning department. Their selection also helps parents to encourage brushing up on things previously learned as well. We actually started back with school lessons a couple weeks ago as I wanted to get a jump start on the year and ease back into the routine slowly. If I’m completely honest, this is just as much for my benefit as the children’s. After Summer break, things previously learned may be a bit rusty and I like to reintroduce concepts in a fun way to ease any stress.
Today, I want to share the NEW Learning Resources Brights! Base Ten Starter Set. This 141 piece set is geared for first grade and up while the variety of bright fun colors add an element of fun. Made from durable plastic, these pieces can hold up to many years of play while helping students extend counting sequences and understand place values. This particular set works for about 3 or 4 students at one time and also comes with an activity guide for more suggestions on uses and play.
The kids and I really like the Brights! Base Ten Starter Set as it allows them to visualize and put their hands on to math! The activity guide is geared for grades 3-6 so I just make up my own activities for the younger boys but the whole family has been getting use out of this new set. One thing to note: These are solid pieces, not the ones that snap together and apart. Each count is complete as is. Overall, this is a truly great learning tool and we are excited to have this math manipulative set on hand!

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

We have a Learning Resources in L.A. and they have a ton of great products. I love looking at their online site. They have a lot of sales and specials too so I can get more for my money.

These would be so helpful for my son when he starts doing some more advanced math.
