As a child, I remember that learning to tell time was really hard. My parents did try to make it fun though. They had a big clock that no longer worked that they would use to quiz us on. The center had a chef wearing a large chef’s hat and his hands each held baked goods and would spin around the clock pointing to what time it was. This clock sat on my mom’s desk for years and I had lots of fun playing with it. As I grew up, I guess I kind of just took advantage of the fact that I knew how to tell time and didn’t give it much more thought. Now with children of my own, I realize what a great skill reading clocks is and how tricky it can be to get some kids to learn and understand this concept. I do like that there are lots of games, tools, and other fun things to help. That includes fun, kid-friendly watches just like the ones from Watchitude! Our daughter learned to tell time a couple years ago but is still “rusty” at it as she prefers to cheat and look at a digital clock for an easy answer. These watches are adorable! I love that are “slap bracelet” style, it makes it so they can put it on themselves and that makes them feel good! 🙂 My oldest two would definitely really enjoy having one too.

Several years ago I asked a 10 year old boy what time it was. He looked around and said I don’t know. I pointed to a clock on the wall and his answer I DON’T KNOW HOW TO READ THAT

I’ve tried the slap band watches and still have a hot pink watch and a white watch. These are so colorful and unique though. My fave here is the Watchitude Old Glory 314.
