The first snow has now arrived here in Minnesota and, while the kids were thrilled, I would have enjoyed a little more of the warm late Fall weather we had been enjoying.  It literally went from gorgeous, 50 degree sunshine, short-sleeved weather to blustery, cold snowstorm in less than 36 hours!

After the storm passed and the wind calmed down, the kids were itching to get outdoors.  Thankfully, we recently received our review package from Stonz Wear because two of our kiddos needed boots and our younger daughter had no gloves!  So the timing was perfect.

Brand new, The Scout Toddler Boots are available in three color options: black/grey, pink/black, and blue/black and I went with the neutral grey/black color.  The Scout Boots also range from size toddler 5 through toddler 9.  I typically go one size bigger for boots to allow for the wear of thicker socks so the size 6 work perfectly for our 2 year old.  (She’s currently in size 5 shoes.)

After opening the Scout Toddler Boots, I immediately LOVED how lightweight they were.  Younger kids already struggle with trekking through snowy terrain and clunky, heavy boots add to the frustration.  Thankfully, Stonz Wear knows best and takes great care to make amazing quality super lightweight boots…… and I mean feather light!  Also a must have for me is easy to put on.  There are very few things more frustrating than wrestling with squirmy kids and footwear that refuses to go on.  The Scout Boots open amazingly wide for a super easy transfer!

Some other noteworthy features of the Scout are:  they offer a slip resistant solenylon upper, velcro closure, and can even withstand temperatures down to -30 degrees C!  Truly, a great boot for the younger kids in your life!

Our 6 year old son had also outgrown his boots from last year so the Trek Winter Bootz gave him a big smile!  This particular style is available in a larger array of colors including: grey/black, pink/black, white/black, orange/black, and slate blue/black.  The size range is also a bit wider on this one as it runs from Toddler 6 all the way up to Big Kid 6!  WOW!

Also designed with kids in mind, the Trek boots are  super lightweight.    Being our winters can get brutal though, I’m super excited that along with their great features, the Trek Boots are rated to withstand temperatures down to -50 degrees C as our son loves to be outside!

Also new to the Stonz Wear line up are their Waterproof Mittz.  Their Mittz were already awesome before but now they are even better with their new, 100% waterproof, breathable lining.  Plus, they are lined with 3M Thinsulate, perfect for keeping those little hands toasty, protected, and warm.  My favorite feature would have to be the sleeve part that goes up to the elbow as it really prevents any snow from sneaking in!  The toggle strap adjuster allows me to loosen or tighten so these Mittz can accommodate any bulky coat too!

3M Thinsulate

As always, Stonz Wear offers amazing, high quality products that get rave reviews from my kiddos.  They stay warm, protected, and get to enjoy the beauty of Winter while I get the peace of mind knowing Stonz Wear is protecting them.

Stonz boots are awesome! I have heard so many good things about them, they look so comfy and durable! 🙂 I definitely plan on getting my 3 kiddos a pair for the winter as well. Thanks for sharing!

I haven’t tried Stonz gear but I have several items with 3M Thinsulate and love them. They kept me toasty warm when I lived in Colorado and I keep them packed away in California, for when I visit my family in Colorado and the Midwest. The gloves especially are well worth the cost. These look like they would last for many years too.

Those boots look like they’d be good in the cold weather. I have a feeling you’ll see plenty of that soon enough!

My children could really use new winter boots, so these look great!

  • The shoes look like just what snow needs. I would like them for my son’s family who live it where it snows. They were here in the South for Thanksgiving. It was in the 70s. Not too much like winter but I love it, thus why I retired here.

My daughter is going to wear her brother’s hand me down boots this year. I don’t know what we’ll do for my son in the snow because we literally can’t pay rent, so we’re kind of having Christmas that consists of about 5-7 dollar tree junk items like cheap socks, toothbrushes, etc. I feel so terrible that I literally have not been talking about it. Enough. These look so nice! I bet they’re great when the snow is high or wet!

I really like how these boots are made.. They seem to have all the bases covered. Being waterproof is huge, no more wet feet. I really love the tread on these too. Good gripping less slipping. The gloves are nice too, I like how they are waterproof. You can tell we lve in a snowy area too, nothing worse than wet and cold feet and hands!
