It’s no secret that I love babies.  Everyone who knows me at all knows I always have.   I still remember back in 5th grade when I turned down going to a friends house overnight to, instead, spend the evening babysitting.  Since my passion has always been children, I actually opened by very own licensed home daycare the week after I graduated from high school!  While I was worried my age would be a hindrance, parents never seemed to mind and I almost always had a waiting list of families wanting to get in.  So it’s no wonder that my husband and I began our family shortly after getting married.  As children grow, I always become obsessed with baby toys because it’s so exciting once those little ones start making eye contact, tracking, and grabbing on to things.  So my eyes are always open for great new baby toy options and I recently found some with the People Toy Company.

The People Toy Company is a beloved Japanese company that was actually founded back in 1977 but has just recently made its debut in the US.  Infants brains are developing and changing so quickly and the importance of stimulating their senses is as important to their development as nourishing aspects so The People Toy Company has created toys to do just that.

Brain Builders Line

 The People Toy Company Brain Builders Line offers energizing fun for baby’s budding senses as the toys rattle, ring, move, and click under the control of little hands.  They have lots of great choices but we went with the Magic Reflection Ball, Push & Pull, UFO, and Cry No More Baby Rattle.  The bright and bold colors are eye catching while each individual toy offers so much fun.

All babies and toddlers seem to love looking at their reflection so it’s no surprise that the Magic Reflection Ball is a huge hit.  I love the large design that’s perfect for enticing baby during tummy time.  Our last foster baby absolutely shrieked during every second of tummy time and I wish I would have had this on hand for him a couple months ago to see if it would have helped distract him.  The rattle is lightweight and offers a nice skinny handle that’s easy for little ones to hold while the typical rattling sound is irresistible as always.  The UFO offers a unique spin on a baby toy that is also super fun for kids to play with.

Mochi Rice Line

The People Toy Company’s 100% safe and green Mochi Line is created with their rice-plastic technology, meaning they are 51% rice!  This adorable pastel colored line features some of the same great developmental aspects while the smell of aromatic fresh rice grains accompanies every package.

For the Mochi Line, I went with their Teething Plate and Maraca.  Since every baby goes through teething, I really liked the simple, lightweight design of the Teething Plate.  The little gripping hole is also perfect for small hands while the bumps and grooves appeal to those aching gums.  And finally, the Mochi Maraca just may actually be our daughter’s favorite toy out of the bunch!  She loves the gripping handle and carries it around shaking gently to hear the light tinkling maraca sound.

Overall, the People Toy Company toys seem to be a really great quality.  And while our 2 year old daughter is absolutely loving them, I’m even more excited to have them on hand for the foster babies that will come through our door.
