I recently learned about The Smart Baking Company in a conversation about Gluten-Free baked goods. The Smart Baking Company offers both Gluten-Free SmartCakes and Gluten-Free SmartBuns. The Smart Baking Company believes you don’t have to compromise on taste to have a nutritious product. They strive every day to bake products that taste good, are healthy, are fun, and affordable. SmartCakes and SmartBuns have zero digestible carbs. This means they won’t compromise your weight loss/maintenance plan. Both baked goods also have Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins B1, 6, 12, C and E.
For my review, I received three flavors of SmartCakes- Cinnamon, Coconut, and Chocolate.
In addition to being Gluten-Free, SmartCakes are free of sugar and starch. They are non-GMO, full of fiber, and are loaded with protein. A serving of SmartCake contains ONLY 38 calories.
So, if they are healthy, how do they REALLY taste? My answer is… they taste like mom’s freshly baked muffins. SmartCakes are light, airy, moist, flaky, sweet, and scrumptious! If you did a blind taste test, I would be shocked if you could pick out the SmartCake.
SmartCakes are exactly what I was looking for. I am really trying to cut down on my carbs. SmartCakes allow me to still feel like I am splurging, yet am not falling off the weight-loss wagon. I am so thankful to have found these!

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. These sound fascinating! I am trying to keep carbs low, which means baked goods are non-existant. And these are gluten free too?

These are amazing. I havent tried them but your review describes how good they would be. Its hard to believe they are sugar free. I also am amazed how long they stay fresh. These certainly are ‘smart’ cakes’

These look so yummy! My Mom has to eat gluten free due to celiac disease. I’m always on the hunt to find her new, good tasting products like these.

They taste great, but have a little aftertaste… culd minimize that and also reduce the sodium. Then they will be better than mom’s! But overall, quite tasty.
Wow, Smartcakes sound delicious! I am not necessary gluten free, but I love eating healthy and am all about good carbs! I love the paper wrappers that they come in too. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
