Thank you to Islabikes for providing me with product in exchange for review purposes. All opinions belong to myself.

I consider my little girl to be a very cautious child. She can get pretty easily discouraged within just one try of something new. We often spend a bit of time comforting her and reassuring her while she tries something new. Her balance bike was no different, she walked it for a long time before she decided to pick her feet up and coast on it. So I was nervous when it came to introducing a pedal bike to her as I knew she would need some time and would be pretty nervous. We tried a different brand starter bike but it was on the larger side and much more bulky and heavy, ultimately I think it made her more nervous about the whole thing and frustrated to boot. She decided pedaling wasn’t fun and reverted back to her balance bike. That’s when I turned to Islabikes as I knew the design features would be a perfect fit for our 4 year old.

The design portion of Islabikes is probably the most important portion of the entire bike. So much thought goes into proper comfortable form of the rider so that the utmost confidence can be achieved. Lucca hit the minimum size requirements of the Cnoc 14 Large and at first I was nervous it might still be on the large side for her but Islabikes makes sure that the measurements are actually correct for the sizing!

She was able to mount the bike with ease and adjusting was super simple. I love that the bike comes almost completely assembled (aside from pedals and adjustments) adjustments were quick and simple to make.

My daughter and I both are in love with the color of the bike, the paint is such an eye catching color and just an impeccably sharp looking bike.

She took a few spins down our sidewalk and she was able to coast and then pedal a bit before running out of sidewalk. We decided that we would take her down to the local tennis court and let her free ride on the open pavement. This was such game changer, she no longer needed to worry about staying on the strip of sidewalk and she started cruising around with such confidence!

Her next feat was learning to stop without using her feet as much and more so start using the hand brakes. This did take the better part of an hour but by the time we left she had conquered it and was getting more and more comfortable with stopping.

One of the awesome features about these bikes is their incredible resale value! The Cnoc 14 Large isn’t just some cheap bike that you grab at your local store and then basically accept that you aren’t going to ever get a return back on that purchase. I love knowing that when our kids outgrow these bikes ( a long time from now) we will be able to sell them and put that money towards their next bike. People know the brand Islabikes and know that there is high quality and good value in each bike made. Long lasting materials also ensure that the bikes will still be in awesome condition by the time selling does come around.

My daughter loves riding down the sidewalk with her head held in the air with confidence that she can ride a pedal bike and hearing passers-by ask how old she is to be riding without training wheels!

What a beautiful bike! I absolutely love it has all of the features of a larger bike while still being small enough for a beginner. The hand brakes are such a cool feature that I have not seen on a kids bike before. 🙂 I may have to get my youngest daughter one of these now. Thank you so much for sharing!

That is such a nice feature in how adjustable the bike is.It really is tough learning to ride when a bike is too big and this one looks just right for her. There is a whole lot going for this bike besides size, it really does look less daunting than a full size bike. I love the color, and really love how it is almost a transitional bike with all the regular features. It looks like she loves it.
