Thank you to Chef’d for providing me with product in exchange for review. All opinions are my own.

Finding tried and true recipes online isn’t easy and lets face it, it’s hard to want to spend money on full size ingredients that you just aren’t sure you will use. I love using subscription meal companies to find new and exciting meals as well as learn new cooking techniques. Chef’d is a company offering a large array of recipes ranging from breakfast to dessert with gourmet options as well!

Chef’d partners with tons of brands to offer you, the customer, so many different meal options with a variety of dietary guidelines as well. I would say that Chef’d has one of the largest menus to choose from that I have seen thus far. Some pretty neat things about Chef’s that stand out is there is no subscription to sign up for as well as no deadline to order by to make sure you receive a certain meal. Most meals are available every week!

When I was choosing our meals I wanted to choose ingredients or cooking styles I hadn’t yet learned or used so far. I chose a Carne Asada Platter which featured steak tacos, a spicy corn on the cob, a homemade salsa, and seasoned rice! This meal took a lot longer than the recipe card said it would but was incredibly tasty. My husband is the one who put this meal together and while he did say it was a lot of steps to complete, he enjoyed learning how to make a simple tasty salsa and seasoned grilled corn!

I love going on Pinterest and gazing at the wonderfully styled breakfast toast pictures so I thought I would treat myself and do a fancy almond butter toast. This toast meal started off with a sprouted grain bread, toasted adn topped with an almond butter and mascarpone cheese with sliced bananas and drizzled honey and chia seeds. I’ve never tried marscapone cheese but it added such a unique flavor to the whole of the dish! My husband and I really enjoyed the toast meal but due to the cost of mascarpone cheese probably wouldn’t make it again.

Next up on our list of tasty foods from Chef’d was an incredible dish by the name of Chipotle and lime Shrimp Sopes. Now I have recently found love with shrimp but have never cooked it myself and this dish helped me realize how incredibly simple it is. Sopes was also something i had never eaten or cooked before and absolutely fell in love with! I have looked all over my grocery store for it though and have yet to find some. I’m thinking a more authentic grocer might carry it though.

This was a messy but packed with flavor dish and my kids and husband both asked for seconds. I would say the amount of time this meal took was much closer to the estimated time frame that the recipe card stated so I was super happy about that.

Along with this meal I chose to order a meal of avocado toast. Like I said before I’m a sucker for those pinterest styled toast pictures. I have never used or tasted prescuttio before and have found that I can live without it, although avocado on toast is something I just cant skip out on anymore. The richness of the egg combined with the creamy avocado and crisp toast this meal has been a repeat so many times in our house. Despite its smaller portion look it packs a bunch of healthy fats that help to keep you feeling full for longer, my husband was quite surprised by this to say the least.

Choosing your delivery day and time with Chef’d is such an awesome perk so that your fridge doesn’t become over loaded with too much food. Slowly funneling in meal box after meal box with Chef’d worked so much better for us. I loved the way things were packaged so there was no sorting or matching up meals everything came in its own bag ready to put in the fridge until time to cook. The proportions of each of these meals was pretty perfect for our family of four. If you’d like to try out Chef’d use LAKOTA20 for 20% off.

This sounds like an awesome meal subscription service! I love that they offer such a wide range of meal options! I don’t think I have ever seen one that does breakfast and dessert as well. Thanks for sharing!

I’d eat the avocado toast with the Prosciutto. It all looks interesting.

I like that it is not a subscription service. I think I will try this one.

I have often been tempted to try one of these food subscription boxes. I am not sure I would like some of the food offered. However, not having to sign up for a subscription with Chef’s makes it more appealing.

All of these meals sounded so good. Love avocado toast but have not tried it with a egg. I need to check in to this and see what they have.

I love the idea of kits and boxes–I’ve never subscribed to one, but they look so fun!

I love that they offer dessert too. The meal your husband made looks good!

  • I haven’t tried Chef’d. However, based on this review and the photos, I need to try it! The avocado toast with egg looks delicious.

These looks so great but I know that my kids wouldn’t eat most of it. This would be great for just my husband and I so maybe in a couple years when they are in college.
