I was sent a Nadine West bag for review. All opinions are my own. There are affiliate links in this post.
My last review I had switched my style preference on my Nadine West account to classic and I had one of my favorite shipments so far. So, I was excited to keep my style profile exactly the same to see how a second shipment would turn out!
This month was my smallest shipment so far, in that it only included five items. However, the overall value of everything sent was roughly the same as usual. For the first time, I had two items sent that had a value of over $35, so perhaps that is part of why just 5 items were sent. So, let’s get into what the items were!
The first clothing item that I pulled out was a dress called ‘Sasha’. It’s a long maxi type dress in a deep red. I love the color of this. I love how it has an extra layer in the bust area for protection, and it even has pockets. Everyone loves dresses with pockets, right? It’s definitely a cute dress, but I just never feel like maxi dresses are for me. They just are not my style, and at 5’1″ this one was too long for me as well, so it would definitely be a return for me. It sells for $35.99.
Next I pulled out some gold-toned earrings. These are called time-warp and they are $13.99. I like the simple design of these, they could pair with so many different outfits which is definitely something I appreciate in jewelry. The only downside on these for me is how heavy they are. They definitely pull my earlobes down due to the weight which I try to avoid in earrings. Very cute though, I thought.
The second item was another dress. I have had several dresses from Nadine West that I love, so I’m always eager for them to send me more dresses. This “isabella” dress was my favorite item in this month’s bag. It’s definitely another dress from Nadine West that I just love. It was the first item I’ve ever been sent that was not sent in the size I listed in my profile. It was a size larger than I usually wear (And they usually send) but it fits well. I loved that they knew this dress ran smaller than usual and send me a larger size to accommodate. The material of this dress is soft and stretchy so it is comfy to wear. It’s fairly simple, but the v-line, choker-look neckline, ruching at the hip, and criss-cross skirt style just add a lot. I think this is a great dress for date night. It sells for $35.99.
Next up was a pair of shorts. These are pretty similar to other shorts that Nadine West has sent me. I’ve only ever gotten cloth/linen type shorts like this, so at this point I am assuming they don’t ever send jean material shorts? I think these look okay on, so I appreciate being pushed out of my comfort zone a little bit, but these are the fourth pair of cloth shorts I’ve gotten from Nadine West and I just will never wear that many cloth shorts. These are $24.99.
The last item was a necklace. This was the strongest ‘not for me!’ item this shipment. This necklace is $29.99. I tend to gravitate towards fairly subtle jewelry like necklaces with small or very simple pendants. I don’t really wear necklaces with color much at all, and the pendant on it is just too big for my tastes.
Remember there is no fee to sign up for Nadine West. You sign up by filling out a style profile including your size, the colors and prints you like (or do not like) to wear, jewelry colors you are open to and so on. Once you’re done, they’ll mail you a few items (usually 5-8) that you can try on at home. Your package will include a prepaid mailing label so you may return any items that you do not wish to keep, and you’ll only be charged for the items that you keep. Each time you get a shipment you can go into your profile and rate or review each item, and your stylist will be updated about how each item fit and how you liked it so they can further customize your future orders.

I really like the little black dress too. And I don’t understand why jewelry makers don’t understand that heavy earrings are not comfortable. I would not keep (or get) heavy earrings too.

It’s a bummer because I do like the look of many earrings that dangle, but it’s just a bummer that style is often so heavy.

I don’t wear dresses too many times and mainly because I am so short and petite and it’s hard to find something that fits. After seeing you, who is also short and petite, looking good it makes me think I can find something from this service.

Yes! I am so pleasantly surprised at how many of their dresses have fit me well, because I have a hard time finding dresses that are a good length on me in stores it seems like. I’m 5’1″ and have a pretty average torso, so it’s really my legs that make me short if that makes sense, haha. Typically ‘short’ dresses end below my knee, and long dresses hit the floor. In jeans I try to shop from brands who offer ‘short’ sizes but even those need hemmed or they fray because they hit the ground. So I totally undertand the short girl problems, haha. A few of the dresses i’ve gotten from Nadine West have become my favorite for this summer. They are all made out of really comfortable, stretchy material too. They are thin/light enough to be breathable and stretchy enough to be extremely comfortable. I am typically the type of person who puts on PJ’s the second I get home, but with some of these dresses I keep wearing them at home because they are as comfortable as PJs lol. I got one in early spring that has 3/4 sleees and is a bit longer than the rest, more of a spring/fall dress than a summer dress and i’m excited tow ear it this fall as well, so not just sun dresses that they have matched me up well with.

I actually think the necklace looks good on you.The color is very pretty. I hate to say this, but you look great in the maxi, you really arent too short at all, perhaps hemming, and it would look better with straps (but thats just my opinion) The heavy earrings are one of those things, you either hate or love them. They do look nice .I think I liked their last classic better, but this I do like the colors on you.
