I love Nadine West because it’s a neat way to try out clothing. You only pay for the items you keep (they send a return shipping label) so you can try on items in the comfort of your own home. You fill out a style profile when you sign up to let them know which types of items you like, what colors you wear, and which prints you do not care for. From there, it’s a surprise! My bags typically include 5-8 items. On to this month’s shipment:

This is listed as a dress and costs $34.99 if you decide to keep it. I personally would call this a romper because it does have shorts on it, but then there is a longer piece that mostly covers up the shorts as well. I like this darker yellow tone, I like how it’s got a breezy feeling to it. I guess overall I just enjoy the look that it offers, but I just don’t feel that it’s a very practical item for me. I can’t imagine where I would wear this to as someone who lives in a rural midwestern town. I don’t really even see people wearing regular rompers in my area, so this just feels a little over the top for ordinary wear. It’s neat though.

I like the style of this top but I feel it’s too big. They sent me one size larger than I typically wear (and one size larger than my style profile requested). In the past Nadine West has sent me items one size-up, but they fit perfectly. So I assume they sized up on this because they thought it was sized smaller than other brands but I didn’t find that to be true. I think this photo makes the top fit better than it does in person. The arms are very baggy but that is hidden because I pulled them up on my elbows a lot and me holding my waist bunched the material up a bit as well. Cute, but I wish they sent me my regular size. This top is $33.99 to keep.

I was excited to see dress pants included in my shipment this month. I had received leggings in the past, but I didn’t realize Nadine West offered long bottoms outside of leggings. These are a medium, I typically wear a 3 or a 4 in jeans or pants or a small in leggings so I thought these may be too big. Overall, I don’t think they are too big. They fit well through the thigh area, I think a small would be too thin for my thighs, but they are oddly baggy around the front pocket area. You can see how the material doubles over above my thigh due to the excess fabric. I have owned dress pants in the past that pinch my hips when I sit down, and these definitely won’t do that, but I feel that they are oddly proportioned in that area, almost puffy near the zipper area. Or perhaps they are intended to be high waisted, in which case they are too big as they won’t hold to my natural waist. These are $15.99 to keep. They also come with a cute little thin black belt.

This necklace is definitely my style! I like simple pendants and necklaces that aren’t too showy. There are two triangles on this, a dark one in back, and a cut-out gold-toned one that lays over it. The chain on this feels a little cheap, but not terrible. This necklace costs $14.99 to keep.

These earrings are probably my favorite item from this shipment. They are a little bigger than I would usually wear, and they are heavy which I usually don’t care for. However, I love how they are simple but pretty and noticeable enough to feel ‘dressed up’ a bit. I’ll definitely be using these on special occasions. They cost $15.99 to keep.
